چکیده

The 20 patients in this quasi-experimental investigation had internal temporomandibular joint dysfunction. Prior to the procedure, information on sound, maximum inter-incisor opening of mouth (MIO), and pain intensity (VAS) were acquired. Patients checked seven days three months after operation gather outcome information. To find out procedure's effectiveness, pre- post-procedural data compared (PRP). findings demonstrated that there was no significant difference VAS scores between two groups seventh day surgery been completed (p>0.05). After mean MIO A B 40.25 ± 4.27 mm 35.65 5.74 mm, respectively. treatment, group A's 36.55 4.40 while B's 31.95 5.88 B. Mean considerably greater Group than (p 0.05). TMJ sound substantially higher (55.0% versus 0.0). Following procedure for months, significantly levels (75.0% vs. 15.0%). It may be said arthrocentesis combined with platelet-rich plasma increased at various follow-ups more alone did. 7 3 following platelet rich improved interincisal (TMJ) or without plasma.

Evaluation of the Effect of Platelet-Rich Plasma on Temporomandibular Joint Disorders: A Split-Match Randomized Clinical Trial

Background and Aim: The reduction of temporomandibular joint disorders (TMD) is one of the most significant concerns in dentistry. In contrast to initial treatments, such as pharmacotherapy and physiotherapy, which act as temporary tranquilizers, growth factors have shown promising results in the stimulation of cell division. Given the limited research on the positive impact of platelet-rich pl...

Internal Derangement of Temporomandibular Joint - A Review

Temporomandibular joint (TMJ) is a complex, sensitive, and highly mobile joint. Temporomandibular disorders (TMD) are a class of degenerative musculoskeletal conditions associated with morphologic and functional deformities that affect up to 25% of the population. The most frequent structural (as opposed to muscular) cause of TMD are Internal derangement , which involves progressive slipping a ...

Evaluation of internal derangement of the temporomandibular joint by panoramic radiographs compared with magnetic resonance imaging.

INTRODUCTION Panoramic radiographs are routinely used in orthodontic diagnosis and treatment planning. It would be useful if these radiographs could also provide information about internal derangement (ID) of the temporomandibular joint (TMJ). METHODS The sample consisted of 168 condyles in 84 women. They underwent panoramic radiography on 1 of 3 machines and bilateral magnetic resonance imag...
